TrackingPoint ShotMade Tour Heads to Houston, Phoenix, Tampa and Dallas

I got a chance to play with the Tracking Point rifle at SHOT Show earlier this year. This gun is an absolute trip and I highly HIGHLY recommend anyone in the area pay them a visit if you can.

gI_72295_338T-rightside-quarterbackTrackingPoint™ has expanded its ShotMade tour, where the Smart Rifle™ company travels state to state demoing their precision guided firearm technology for press and firearms enthusiasts. Four new dates were announced this week via the TrackingPoint ShotMade blog. The new dates include Florida, Arizona and multiple stops in Texas and all will take place before the end of the year at private facilities. The tour provides the chance for attendees to be one of the only people in the world to ever have fired the extremely high end Smart-Rifle, an experience that has been reserved for tour attendees and the company’s first adopters. Smart Rifles are currently only available through an application process, with demand stretching wait times further as the technology gains steam. The chance to shoot one is very controlled by the company, with even tour attendees going thru a separate application process to confirm their chance to shoot the coveted best rifle available.

The newly announced dates are below:

  • October 21st – Phoenix, AZ
  • October 22nd – Houston, TX
  • October 28th – Dallas, TX
  • October 29th – Tampa, FL

The TrackingPoint Smart Rifle has been featured over the last year on dozens of major press outlets including NPR, NBC, ABC, Yahoo, FOX, Bloomberg, CNET, Mashable, Techcrunch, VICE, Comedy Central and many more. The attention from mainstream press and the firearms industry has led to an unprecedented level of demand to purchase the firearm system. The Smart Rifle is only available through the TrackingPoint online application process.

The TrackingPoint rifle that has generated the most demand is a .338 Lapua Magnum TrackingPoint XS1 precision Smart Rifle. The XS1 is the largest-caliber TrackingPoint system available for purchase. It offers the longest effective range of any smart rifle on the market at 1200 yards. The XS1’s performance is driven by a bolt-action, .338 Lapua Magnum Surgeon™ XL action and uses custom 300 gr. Sierra™ Open-Tipped Match XactShot™ ammunition by Barnes Bullets®, loaded to +/- 10 fps standard deviation muzzle velocity. TrackingPoint Smart Rifles are extreme distance western and safari hunting rifles created for the technology-savvy hunter or collector. The systems are capable of making shots at out to 1,200 yards (depending on the model) with high first shot success probability even for beginners, making them the most accurate rifles in the world today.
